About This Station
The station is powered by a Davis Vantage Pro Plus 2 weather station. The data is collected every 5 seconds (Weather LIVE!) and the site is updated every 5 minutes. This site and its data is collected using Weather Display Software. The station comprises of an anemometer, rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.
Other sensors include a leaf wetness sensor, Soil temperature sensor's (1 at 125mm and 1 at 10mm), both of which are paired up by a soil moisture sensor. Two other sensors compliment the station, a solar sensor and a UV sensor.
2 new temperature probes will soon be added to the soil/leaf station, these will give grass temperature and leaf temperature.
The station is also used to generate local forecast's every 3 hours, starting at 00:20 every day. Please see Forecast
There will also soon be LIVE lightning live from this station! There are other station's on the island that offer this, but i will make sure it is graphically different with other information so you have far more choice.

About The Computer
The computer that brings all the weather data, lightning data and images is all done on 1 single computer.
It is a Dell D610 LAPTOP! Yes, a laptop!
It has:-
A docking station (which also houses the lightning detector)
2.26GHz Centrino CPU (with 2mb L2 cache)
2GB of ram
2 harddrives (both each 160GB)
2 Batteries (to ensure if power failure, weather data is still collected for up to 7 hours) This beats any UPS on a standard PC!
There are a series of router's (all Linksys WRT54GS router's) to carry my ADSL connection to the laptop
